Vtg. Gray’s Pottery Copper Lustre Demitasse Cup/Saucer Hand Painted Cappuccino set, metallic glaze

Produced between 1920 and 1950, this pattern was likely influenced by renowned ceramic designer Susie Cooper who worked for Gray’s Pottery until 1929. This demitasse cup and saucer is hand painted and features a copper lustre glaze motif on a pleasing ivory-colored background. These are no chips on either of these pieces, only a few imperfections which were present before the glaze was applied (see photos). The saucer has some very light scuffs where the cup sits in it.
