This batch of fire cider began brewing in March after I did extensive research on the treatments that seemed to be helping COVID-19 patients in China. Most of the ingredients in this batch are high in vitamin C, including citrus, hibiscus, jalapeño and onion. It also contains anti-inflammatory ingredients like turmeric, ginger, garlic, rosemary and horseradish, and some Mullein leaf for lung health. It is brewed in organic, live, unfiltered apple cider vinegar and I have not added any sweetener to it. This tonic really packs a punch and you will not need to take more than a tablespoon at a time.
My kids and I take a tablespoon of this daily in a little apple juice as an immune boosting tonic. I also believe it is helpful to take if you already have contracted a virus. A year ago, I had a nasty flu that resulted in several weeks of persistent lung and trachea inflammation. I believe fire cider was the thing that helped me to kick the last of that infection out of my body. I make no medical claims with my personal anecdotal observations, so please do not use this product as a substitute for appropriate medical treatment if you are experiencing alarming symptoms of viral infection.
I have only one size of this batch, 8 ounces, and only 12 bottles as of May 31. I have a second batch brewing which will be ready for bottling by the end of June.
